UTICA, NY- 13 members of the Utica College women’s hockey team were named to the ECAC West Conference All-Academic squad, released Tuesday.
A total of 126 student-athletes from the 10 league member-schools earned All-Academic recognition. In order to be eligible for the league’s All-Academic Team, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher, and have completed at least one full year at their current institution. Seniors Morgan Reed (Fort Myers, FL/Cushing Academy) andJanessa Haasbeek (Grand Forks, ND/Canadian International Hockey Academy), juniors Victoria Pelton (Sterling Heights, MI/Belle Tire), Gabrielle Schnepp (Northville, MI/Belle Tire), Emily Coope (Phoenix, AZ/Colorado Tigers), and Keira Goin (Dobbs Ferry, NY/Hotchkiss School), and sophomores Jennifer Arts(Lakeside, Ontario/London Devilettes), Kelly Critzer (West Salem, OH/Ohio Flames), Emily Holtshouser (Londonderry, NH/Middlesex Islanders), Veronique Lortie (Chambly, Quebec/Berkshire School),Amanda Lupo (Auburn, NY/Skaneateles), Taylor Osowski(Highlands Ranch, CO/Colorado Selects), and Carlie Smith(Grimsby, Ontario/St. Catharine’s Chaos) were Utica’s honorees. Four members on this list were also named to All-Conference teams, which highlighted their athletic performance. Utica wrapped up arguably its most successful season in program history with an overall record of 19-8-1. The Pioneers set new program records for wins and conference wins (13) in a season and reached the conference final for just the second time in program history. |
