BINGHAMTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton Senators, top affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Ottawa Senators, announced veteran forward Zack Stortini as the team captain for the 2015-16 season.
Stortini, who is beginning his eleventh season playing professional hockey, signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Ottawa Senators on July 1. The 6-4, 230lb right winger had a career season with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms last year earning career highs in both goals and assists.
Defensemen Mark Fraser and Patrick Mullen will be alternate captains during B-Sens home games while forward Eric O’Dell and defenseman Michael Kostka will take on the alternate captain roles during road games.
The B-Sens open their 2015-16 regular season tonight when they host the Albany Devils at 7:05p.m. Tickets are available by calling the B-Sens Executive Office at (607)722-SENS between now and the games second intermission or by visiting the Arena Box Office during normal business hours.
