Adam Welz / Professional Trainer has joined the staff of NewEdge Hockey Development Academy. He will work with both the Rochester & Buffalo NY Divisions.
Adam grew up in Rochester, NY playing AAA hockey through as a youth. He graduated from Brighton High School in 1995 where he was a three year starter for the varsity hockey team. He received all county honors during the 1994 and 1995 seasons and was a Team Captain in 1995. He went on to play lacrosse and hockey at SUNY Canton from 1995-97. He was selected to the All Regional Team for NJCAA both years and served as Team Captain both years for lacrosse.
While at SUNY Canton, he was a member of the Men’s National Championship Hockey team in 1997. He is a Level 4 USA Hockey Certified Coach and has been involved with the Rochester Monarchs / new Rochester Junior Americans program as a Head Coach and Assistant Coach for the past 8 years. Adam is a life long hockey and lax player and has a deep passion for Coaching youth players in and around Upstate NY.
