Hamilton College women’s ice hockey player Katie Zimmerman ’13 (Plymouth, Mich./Plymouth-Salem HS) was selected to the 2013 NESCAC All-Conference team on Feb. 28.

Zimmerman made the all-NESCAC second team at forward for the second year in a row. She leads the conference this season with 21 goals and 30 points. Zimmerman’s seven power-play goals are good for second in the conference, and her 10 power-play points are tied for third. She is also second in the NESCAC with five game-winning goals.

Zimmerman earned NESCAC player of the week honors on Dec. 10 with five goals and one assist in two games. She recorded a hat trick in a 4-2 win against SUNY Potsdam on Dec. 4, and followed with two goals and one assist in a 3-1 victory at Utica College on Dec. 8.

Zimmerman is tied for third in program history with 57 career goals and is ranked seventh with 97 points. The Continentals finished the season with a 13-11-1 overall record, including 7-8-1 in the conference, and tied for fifth place in the NESCAC standings. The 13 wins matched the team record for most in a season.
